Alex’s academic journey in landscape architecture is marked by a series of distinguished scholarships and competition awards, reflecting his dedication and passion for the field. Graduating top of his class with First Class Honours in Hong Kong, he continued his pursuit of excellence at the University of Edinburgh, where he earned his Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) with Distinction. His thesis, which explores the integration of degrowth theories and the recovery of landscapes within transportation infrastructure, was later shortlisted for the Landscape Institute’s Best Portfolio Awards.
In his professional career, Alex works as a landscape architect at BDP (Building Design Partnership) in their London studio, where he focuses on transforming public realms, residential areas, and hospital environments through thoughtful design. Beyond his professional commitments, Alex actively engages with LWCircus, contributing to a variety of exhibitions and events. His notable collaborations include the landscape installation at Carlo Scarpa Garden, Central Pavilion for the 18th Architecture Venice Biennial with Hood Design Studio, and the greening pop-up at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion during the 12th International Landscape Biennial in Barcelona.
