Musician and visual artist Tony Di Napoli is interested in sound as a material to be sculpted.
Since 1994, he has been developing research with lithophone, a musical instrument he makes from limestone.
In 2002, his research took him to Vietnam, where he learned how to tune stones. Tony Di Napoli presents his work in the form of concerts and visual and sound installations in France, Poland, Italy, Holland, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Denmark, Viet-Nam.
He collaborates regularly with the Centre Henri Pousseur in Liège. He is a member of the Calliopée ensemble since 2019, with residencies at the Musée d’Archéologie National de Saint Germain en Laye and the Musée de l’Homme in Paris.
