Wassim CHAMOUN|Landscape Engineer|LWC-IR-Leb

Wassim Chamoun is a landscape engineer with, in particular, a specialization in Mediterranean landscapes and landscape design in arid and semi-arid environments in the Middle East area. He is an expert in the creation of temporary installations and agricultural and ecological processes. He already worked in the Asinara park different times and He is excellent in managing extemporary situation and able in find solutions on real time, qualities that will be fundamental during the A&CPs Residency process during the Biennial of Resilience, Art and Landscape. LWCircus Operative Staff Member & International Referent for Lebanon, Wassim is landscape engineer graduated BS Degree in Agricultural Engineering from Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, in Kaslik, Lebanon. He has a Diploma in Tissue culture, in vitro propagate of Almond. LARI “ LEBANESE AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH INSITUTE (2000). Post-Specialized Graduate Diploma (D.S.P.U.) in Integrated Pest Management of Mediterranean Fruit Trees. CIHEAM- Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari – ITALY (2004). Wassim worked as project manager with many Landscape companies in Lebanon. Lately runs his own Landscape office (Design & Execution) in Lebanon. Wassim speaks Arabic, English, French and Italian fluently. He participated previously on the LandWorks-Sardinia V edition in Argentiera (2015). He is part of LWCircus as Operative Staff Member and International Referent for Lebanon since 2017 taking part and coordinating logistically and as mentor inside the LWCircus activities in Italy, China and Mexico. He attended the 3 residencies and relative operative workshops of ArnoLab along Arno River in Florence historical center for the years 2017, 2018 e 2019. Wassim was responsible for logistic and mentor for AsinaraLab019 and MayaLab021 in Yucatan. Wassim, followed all LWCircus activities serving as official mentor and logistic coordinator. He has been the official coordinator for works and installations during the expo inside the the Resilience, Art and Landscape section, at the Italian Pavilion, for 17th Architecture Venice Biennial (2021) curated by LWCircus organization. He is recipient of special mention with LWCircus – Onlus at European Landscape award “Premio del paesaggio d’Europa” ( March 2023).
