Serena Crocco – Performer and Theatre Director
Serena Crocco, performer and theatre director, is philosophy graduated with a master degree in Environmental humanities and a diploma in physical theater. For ten years she worked as performer in live shows and in 2016 she founded Laboratorio Silenzio, a theatre company made by deaf and hearing people that realize inclusive projects of landscape re-inhabitation and urban regeneration through performative practices, public and participatory art. Since 2017 she collaborates with the landscape architect Elisabetta Bianchessi and attended previous LWCircus’ activities as ArnoLab019 and AsinaraLab019. She directed the performance of Laboratorio Silenzio among the section of Resilience, Art and Landscape curated by LWCircus at Italian Pavilion inside the 17th Architecture Venice Biennial during the International Symposium Resilient Landscape for Resilient Community (2021). She curated Laboratorio silenzio’s performance among the series of talks and open lectures “Lumen – Progetto RIVA | Dialogues” curated by LWCircus for MAD, Murate Art District, with the performance You will find me if you want me in the Garden (2022). Since 2021 She has taught at NABA, where She works inside the Community Design course (MA in Social Design) coordinated by Elisabetta Bianchessi. She has taught at CAA China Academy of art (Hangzhou) for two years and currently teaches performative practices in other cultural Institutions.
